Keith Brook, Jimmy Jib Owner/Operator

Thanks for visiting. I’m Keith Brook and this site tells you about me and my Jimmy Jib crane.

If you’re in a hurry there’s a single page, with all you need quickly, here.

We’re for hire as a package, we’ve been all around the world and we both travel well.

I’ve been a UK based TV cameraman for many years and bought one of the first Jimmy Jibs in Europe over 20 years ago, so not short on experience.

All you need to know:

  • UK based cameraman with years of experience. Been there, done that.
  • Jimmy Jib operator over 20 years.
  • Base price GBP 850 per day. More days? Subtract multi-day discount, add hotel, dinner, wine, bad jokes, etc.
  • Birmingham based but quotes are mainly all inclusive. No faffing about with mileage and silly surprises.
  • Max crane length 18ft (5.5m) and height 20ft (6.1m) approx.
  • TV: use in Studios, OBs (Remotes), single and multi-camera.
  • Film: can take up to 16SR or equivalent weight. Needs video assist (usually there) and remote focus, zoom or iris (if you need them).
  • Red camera requires special monitor. Usually share yours. Remotes as for film.
  • Needs power. Can be run from tiny, almost silent generator for those off-grid days.

The picture is me so you can put a face to the name and, yes, I can do proper cameras as well!!

I base myself in the Midlands making it convenient for London, Glasgow, Manchester, etc. and even the ferry to Ireland.

Europe? Well, that’s the next day!!
